Acupuncture & Laser Therapy
Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body at specific points. Electrical acupuncture is also sometimes chosen to help stimulate these points. Through stimulation, we hope to decrease inflammation and restore balance in the body. Laser acupuncture therapy is another type of modality that can be used to stimulate acupuncture points without the usage of needles. Many times a combination of these different techniques is used to obtain the most effective treatment for our pets. Laser therapy helps decrease inflammation and promote healing.

Many conditions can be treated using Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and laser therapy. Some of the most common conditions treated are intervertebral disc disease, degenerative myelopathy, osteoarthritis, and other central nervous system disorders. Chronic pain, allergic dermatitis, asthma, and other chronic conditions may also benefit from acupuncture treatments. Traumatic wounds and post operative conditions can benefit from laser therapy.

Initial exams start at $300. Additional fees for travel may apply. Many insurance companies will cover the cost of acupuncture or laser therapy.
